Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
Psalm 100:4
Father, before I ask You for anything today, I come to thank You. Thank You for the gift of life, for the breath in my lungs, and for Your mercies that are new this morning. You have been faithful in seasons I understood and in seasons I did not.
Forgive me for the times I have complained more than I have given thanks. Open my eyes to see Your goodness in the ordinary things: my family, my friends, my food, my health and the opportunities before me.
Most of all, thank You for Jesus, who gave Himself for me, and for the Holy Spirit who lives in me. Let my life today be a song of praise to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

- Ask Him for a thankful heart, even when things are hard.
